Oh no! RIP Ian you were truly a great actor. I loved him in my favourite film Brazil.

RIP Ian. :( Of all the films I ever saw him in, my favourite was the filmed version of King Lear at the National Theatre. He was spellbinding. (It probably helped that Lear is my favourite play of Shakespeare's).

Like a clever little hobbit once said, "I've thought of an ending for my book: 'And he lived happily ever after... to the end of his days.'".

I'll confess I don't know many of his roles without having checked his imdb page, but at least for LotR and The Fifth Element, he'll forever live with me.
RIP, Ian Holm.

And great in The Day After Tomorrow, Henry V, and Time Bandits.

"Pratchett’s wackiness collaborates with Gaiman’s morbid humour; the result is a humanist delight to be savoured and read again and again."
