Really looking forward to this, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time on Amazon prime starts tomorrow 19th November. I have all the books, its said it closely follows them. it should not be compared to Game of Thrones because the first book came out in 1990, the trailers look really good. And you get to see the first three episodes simultaneously then one a week, being there are 14 books it should be a long series.

Sigh ... is anyone seriously comparing Wheel of Time with Game of Thrones?

That's like comparing Poirot with Sherlock Holmes. Or comparing Discworld with Harry Potter (and you know what I think of THAT).

Tell you what, how about we just give up and say "Gandalf?! He's just a rip-off of that stupid jerk Dumbledore, isn't he?"

(I know you know I'm being sarcastic, but someone -- somewhere -- will say exactly that and mean it...)
