Hi,

I wonder if I could get some help understanding the order of the different Terry Pratchett books please?

I have read various books (my favourite being Small Gods), although I heave always read them in a fairly random order.

What I would like to do, is go back and re-read the books in order, based on the series, so I would like to know the list and order of;

The Guard Books

Guards, Guards ... Men at Arms ?

The Death Books

Mort ... Reaper Man ... Hogfather ?

The Witch Books

I am at the same time trying to avoid the rincewind books, because for some unexplained reason, I have just not been able to get into them.

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

Happy to help and enjoy Feet of Clay.

I loved the way Terry had used a seperate font for the Golems in that one. I don't know why he didn't use it in later books, or in the US version of Feet of Clay.

Well, in later books, the golems can talk and don't have to write anything down on a slate anymore, so the different script doesn't make sense anymore. But he still uses capital letters for their speech, doesn't he?

Yep Cheery - The Talking Golems All Use Initial Caps - which is so bloody fiddly I'd have kept to the nice vaguely Yiddish looking typeface

*Hurries off before she's tempted to look up the font he used*
Darn you! I had to look it up didn't I?

I think it's Mitzvah. ;)

The only one I remember seeing in all caps was Death. I thought the golems spoke (not wrote on the slate) in normal font, at least in the U.S. editions. I could be wrong but... damnit that's going to bug me all day if I don't go check it out.

In The Later Books The Golems Talk Like This. Every Word Has A Capital.
Was this a cheeky laugh, eh?

Yes, I got a bit confused, because in the german books golems TALK LIKE THIS (at least in the copies I've got) and Death TALKS LIKE THIS.

And I am totally and utterly useless when it comes to grammatics.
