First Editions ???

Hi everyone, this is my first ever post on a Terry Pratchett forum. So I apologise for any unintentional ignorance.
I have a good collection of his books in paper and hard back, I have a few double and even triple copies. What I am totally unsure of, and wonder if anyone can shed some light, is how to tell if a book is a first edition?
Any advice would be very much appreciated. I don't have any signed copies at all.

It can be quite tricky spotting some of these - espiecially the older books.

This picture shows a line of numbers. The number 1 at the start indicates a first edition.

Sorry about the quality - I took a photo rather than a scan as I didn't want to crack open my copy to put it on the scanner.

Also in some of the books by the another publishers there are no numbers just the ISBN as long as it does not say reprinted etc. you should be OK Oh! and welcome to the forum.
