Hi,
I have long been a huge fan of both Discworld and Lego, and I have always watched any Discworld-based ideas submitted to Lego Ideas with hope - but so far no luck. I had an idea for a Discworld Lego set that I have never seen before, so I have submitted it: The Discworld: Bonsai Mountains set!
"The Bonsai Mountain artist seeks out, on low ground, rocks which are destined, after a few aeons of geological upheaval, to end up on top of mountains and which, therefore, carry the essence of the mountain within them. The artist then displays them in a way which allows that essence to be expressed." - The Discworld Companion
There is still a long, long way to go to hit the required 10,000 supporters mark for Lego to even consider it. I'm hoping there are some other Discworld/Lego fans on this forum who might support it. You need to create an account on Lego Ideas but it's free and you get to play a small part in potentially choosing future Lego sets designed by fans!
Thanks,
Phil
"It’s the hope that’s important. Big part of belief, hope. Give people jam today and they’ll just sit and eat it. Jam tomorrow, now—that’ll keep them going forever.”
