Hey did it just pass me by that the Dreamworks animated film of Truckers now has a director and a new writer?

I'd actually forgotten about the entirely really, it's not out till 2013. ;)

Imdb says Anand Tucker is directing from a script by John Orloff. Interesting has he mainly does romantic comedies and dramas.

Last I heard it was Slumdog's Simon Beaufoy writing weirdly he wrote Tucker's last film, Leap Year

Also it's produced by Andrew Adamson, director of the first two Shreks and the first two Narnias. He was set to direct at one point, Here's the article from 2001 when they got the rights: http://www.writenews.com/2001/050201_dreamworks_bromeliad.htm

This is the only thread where it has (briefly) gotten mentioned

No actual sign of it on the Dreamworks website though. may come back to it again sometime.

Here's a link to their release schedule up till 2014and it's not mentioned....I may have started a pointless thread, still something may come of it

Will take a look, though, I'd prefer to eBay it if I can find it. :)
I have a feeling it only went to VHS - not DVD. :(
Correct. I think Mr Smythe took action against people selling it on DVD.

I've got it on VHS, only seen it once since it was shown on TV in the early 90's. Not got a video player so can't watch it. I remember it being great though considering its age
