Waterstones are running a competition to win a trip to the launch of Unseen Academicals in Wincanton and a football shirt signed by Terry.

Enter here.

Transport and accomodation are NOT included.

I think, to be perfectly honest, that what they are offering is a shirt that's signed that you have to go all the way to Wincanton to pick up. As far as I know, there's no actual charge to watch the matches. ;)

Thanks Tony, I'm going anyway but I have entered but not ordered the book as I will get a copy from the Stout ones shop and get it signed.

I'm trying to find out more information about this as the Waterstones competition seems to suggest that you have to pay to watch the tournament - the prize is a signed shirt and two tickets to watch the tournament.

I'd assumed it was free to watch. o_O

Ok - I've found out that it's going to cost about £1 - £2 to watch the tournament.

It also seems to require you to be a Waterstones card holder. :(

I got all excited there for a minute. Ah well, back to DIY planning. :)

I thought the card was only if you were preordering the book. Have you tried entering without using a card number? o_O

It costs you nothing to register for a membership card, and you get points for any book you buy and they can be redeemed against any book purchase for a price reduction. :)

Did anyone win this?

I paid my hard-earned pound, played for UU so got a shirt anyway and asked Terry to sign it (which he did)...then the team and Terry raided the cheeseboard. (yes, we really had one...and wine, and pickles and crackers etc...)
