SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

...is for your spirit or soul to be separated from your body when the body has been destroyed. This term is mentioned a few times in Good Omens, and only applies to celestial beings, especially demons and angels. If you have been discorporated, and you are a demon, you have the opportunity to...

...movie, when a building was blown up and the brothers were standing untouched in the rubble. It also happens in the 1941 segment of the Good Omens series. The only difference is that in Good Omens it is explained by a miracle. (The Blues Brothers movie is essentially a live-action Warner...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

I see it as being something that people typically say when they’re trying to contact ‘the other side’, like in seances or using a ouija board. But you could be right.

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

The Wall was considerably later than 1973. It came out in 1982. As Good Omens came out in 1990, then it could well be the case. I can't speak for Neil, but Terry was more into Thomas Tallis than Floyd (I think).

..."Comfortably Numb". the first words of the song: "Hello, is there anybody in there?" --Pink Floyd, The Wall Is this an annotation for Good Omens, when Aziraphale tries to contact Heaven? In the series at least, Aziraphale says, "Hello, this is the Principality Aziraphale. Is anybody there?"...

    SPOILERS Mr Mercedes

Not something I've heard of. I tend to watch DVDs based on people's reactions - it's why I have all the seasons of Agents of Shield and Battlestar Galactica. And I just today got the DVD of Good Omens.

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

The DVD and BluRay of Good Omens is now available in the UK. The USA has to wait until November 5. It has already reached the best-seller list for DVD/BluRay on this, the first day of release. P.S. Neil Gaiman says you can watch it as often as you like. "Nobody will judge you."

BOOK 15 The Nice and Accurate Good Omens TV Companion, by Matt Whyman. Years and years ago, I read Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s collaborative work Good Omens. It’s been so long, I scarcely remember the details of what went on in it. However, with the new TV series out, I decided to give...

However, if you search around the various tumblr fan sites for Good Omens, you can find all the deleted scenes posted, generally as photos of the...

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a Carrot

I'll start watching Game of Thrones when I have the time. I've had too much on my plate for most of my adult life. Working (or trying to find work), finding time to write, rehearsing (and performing), uncling two nieces and a nephew, family stuff ... and creating videos (with meaningful content)...

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a Carrot

...It was a warning to his fans when that name appeared. Given the history, we cannot heap enough praise on Neil Gaiman for having guided Good Omens. It took up all his time for several years. Rhianna has her own career to create. They had permission to create new characters--that was the...

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

Neil Gaiman said that the BBC showing of Good Omens won't happen until sometime around February 2020. They have the right to show it starting at the end of November, but they didn't schedule it for then. No doubt this will spark more purchases of DVDs.

SPOILERS Discussion of Good Omens, the series

Good Omens is a heist movie. It begins with small thefts that have large repercussions - the apple, the sword (stolen by passing it on). Then services are 'stolen' by being traded off to the other side, for efficiency and personal ease. It's more like embezzling, because nobody ever checks up...

...to a second one even if powered down and thus presumably cleared. Like Newton Pulsifer, she was an accountant. I didn't get online until 1995, well after Good Omens was published. I can only wonder whether either Sir Terry or Neil Gaiman had met, or heard of, someone else with the same problem.
