Watching American Pie 2 and Casey Affleck's character as Myer's brother feels really similar to Barney from How I Met Your Mother -

-same clothes
-both say 'legendary'
-and both seem to be the ultimate 'bro' giving sex/relationship advice.

The American Pies aren't as bad as some of the, excuse the pun, doppelgangers that followed. They have pretty good character arc throughout the trilogy, especially for Jim/Alysson Hannigan.

The straight to DVD sequels, though, are cack.
