(No, not his name. I'm sure we all know that "d'Eath" is a fine old English name, and goes back centuries). 
Rather, I'm thinking about how the picture of Edward d'Eath. (If you can't remember him: he's
in Men at Arms). 
Anyway, here is how the Discworld Shop portrays him: (Drawn by Paul Kidby, of course...)
And here's the Roundworld picture of Nikolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky, a famous Russian mathematician and scientist (and one of my favourite Russians, thanks to the Tom Lehrer song about him. Painted by Lev Kryukov, 1843).
See the similarities? The same high collar, a similar pronounced nose, similarly wild hair...?
Of course there are (many) differences too, but maybe Kidby took some inspiration from the Lobachevsky picture. They're quite similar.
