Horwitz, Sarah Jean: Dark Lord Clementine (2019) Middle Grade verging on YA.

Twelve-year-old Clementine tries to keep the castle going while her father, the Dark Lord, is being whittled away by magic, but her own magic doesn't seem to be enough. The magic servants are failing, the black sheep has begun to talk, and she can't keep up with the chores. Meanwhile, her secret non-poisonous garden flourishes, the White Lady on the mountain is visited by the unicorn, the witches are taking over the woods, and a scarred hunter approaches seeking vengeance.

The story is fun and has some unusual twists. It's complete in one volume, though there are some potential sequel hooks.
Horwitz has published two other MG books.
