Not sure if this is the right thread for this (my account is new, and I can't seem to make my own topics just yet), but I had a question about the Discworld Diaries. With Terry's passing I've been rereading his works and attempting to complete my collection (mostly the more obscure stuff like side-books and things like the illustrated version of Eric), and I seem to remember something about plans to release a compilation of all the stuff that was in the diaries over the years. I'd love that to happen because my wallet can't take the prices of some of the older ones (I only own the Post Office Diary). However, I'm not sure if those plans were confirmed to happen (and if Terry's passing changed those plans) or if I'm mixing up rumours of future books (this was a while ago - maybe a year or so) and they were never planning to release anything like that at all.

I think those diaries are the biggest hurdle for me before I can complete my Pratchett library. I recently got a nice corner in my office at home devoted to everything I own, and it looks pretty amazing to see everything there. Thanks in advance to anyone who's able to help me. If anyone knows a place where you can buy the older diaries for a reasonable price (I'm in the Netherlands, if that matters) that would be helpful too.

Welcome to the site, Binga! Yes, we have a minimum post count before a topic can be started. This was put in place to stop spammers.

I seem to recall something about that (the diaries etc.) but don't have any firm information. Hopefully someone here will know.

Thanks both of you! I'll definitely try those links - I don't have the funds to buy all of it this month so I think I'll go for the rare ones first. I just sent an e-mail to the publisher to try and find out if they could tell me more about a possible collection of the diary contents - I'm not expecting much of an answer but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I'll share it here if I hear anything.

Oh, and sorry about my username. My six year old came up to me and asked me what I was doing while I was making my account, so I asked him to think of a nickname for me. That's what I went with. Could have been shorter I suppose, but I do like it as a description of my personality in the eyes of my son.

So happy, been after it for ages, though the spine's a bit damaged its nothing too serious.

Not a signed copy but apparently its a first edition? I think the seller also said first print too but this isnt really anything special im thinking, i mean even if it was, were there that many editions to begin with?

Not desperate for a signed edition, im happy with a nice clean, fairly undamaged copy.

Heres a pic of the damage:

I think its repairable, maybe if i just dab a bit of glue along it while pressing down? Its only the thin layer of plastic keeping the ink in after all. I wont try it though, dont worry guys, im no fool

Kinda kicking myself for not knowing about abebooks but then again £80 quid wasn't too bad considering amazon is selling them for £90+... I can take some comfort knowing that.

Just got the witches 2016 diary in the post :)

And i just read a massive spoiler about a character in it... Wow... This is More shocking than hearing that a character in the shepherds crown is now a nun! (not that any character is now a nun of course  )... Wow... I turned to a random page in the diary too... Crazy...

Its quite different from the last diaries i think, there are pages of information scattered throughout the book instead of it all bieng at the front. I suppose this is some kind of symbol because its a witches book? Who knows...

Oops, sorry for the double post guys
