Author Peter Straub, 79, died September 4, 2022 after a long illness. Straub was a celebrated, influential, and bestselling author of literary horror, dark fantasy, and psychological thrillers.

I hadn't heard of Peter before, but then I'm not into horror, dark fantasy, or thrillers. (I tried reading Poe, but it gave me the creeps and kept me from sleeping for a night or two).

Some dark fantasy I read but not horror now, he co-authored a book with Steven King a dark fantasy Eyes of the Dragon I think.
