Change of venue, good I was there when it was last held, a little more remote but not that difficult to get there. I was a bit fed up with going to the Hilton hotel at the NEC, if it had been there next year I would not have gone there.

The 2026 International Discworld Convention will be held on:

Friday 7 August - Monday 10 August 2026
at the
Leonardo Hotel, Hinckley Island, Leicestershire

The hotel is around 30 minutes by car from Birmingham airport.

Announcing the theme

Since we’re reprising the venue from 2006, it seems only right that we reprise the theme too. Get your opera cloak ready, and prepare to visit the Ankh Morpork Opera House. Yes, it's

Maskerade!!!!!

The hotel is a lot cheaper, it was a quite nice hotel then but a little more remote, there has been a couple of EasterCons held there as well so they are no strangers to hosting cons. there was a bigish fish resturant across the road but that may have been a bit on the pricy side. Three times I was there I travelled up from London but that was quite sometime ago, now I will have to check the best route down and decide if I will make it.
