Apologies for the coming-up descriptor -- but it turns up for at least one Roundworld monarch. Besides, Roundworld monarchs have had descriptors like "The Fat", "The Pious", "The Lazy" and so on. At least in William's case, calling him "the Bastard" is more-or-less accurate.
