Penfold has a thread about the greatest christmas songs so why not a similar one a bout peoples favourite Christmas films.

These are films based around or set during Christmas as opposed to those generally shown at Christmas so Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the likes of Oliver are not Christmas Films but films shown at Christmas.

My five are ( in no particular order) -
Scrooged
Nightmare Before Christmas
Its a Wonderful Life
The Muppet Christmas Carol
Die Hard

#6
The Muppet Christmas Carol
It's a Wonderful Life
Beauty & the Beast; Belle's Enchanted Christmas (Shut-up I like it!)
Nightmare Before Christmas
The Snow Queen

I love loads of Christmas films but those are the ones I make a point of watching every year. I also like Home Alone 1&2 and Miracle on 34th Street. Speaking of which, I always go to my mum's for Christmas and she lives next door to a little primary school. I always put a 'WE BELIEVE' sign up in the window and the little 'uns going past love it

Liked Will Ferrell in Stranger than fiction but he can annoy me in other films.

A few films seem to be popping up a lot.

Might have to re watch Bad Santa now Dave has put it into my head.
Only saw it once but have it at home.

Nightmare Before Christmas is proving very popular.

Whats this .....

Every year at about this time I start watching my Christmas films. So far I've watched:

Scrooged
Miracle on 34th Street (the Richard Attenborough one - he's more Santa-ey. Definitely NOT the 70's version, which is dreadful)
The Santa Clause 1 & 2

I've still got to get through:

It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th St (B&W)
Santa Clause 3
several versions of A Christmas Carol
Love Actually
