Feegled from Reddit Discworld: CMOT Dibbler is the Antagonist in Equal Rites?!?
Only if you believe AI. *sigh* I always knew that AI stands for "An Imp".
I don't think Dibbler even appears in ER. (IIRC, he doesn't appear until Guards! Guards!). Even if he did appear in ER, how could he thwart Granny and Esk -- by selling them one of his horrible sausages?
Then again, I wonder what kind of antagonist CMOT Dibbler would be, if he had the sort of power that the Archchancellor Cutangle had. Annihilate-Me-Own-Existence Dibbler? Break-Me-Own-Staff Diblog?
I also have to wonder what kind of mischief Dibbler would get up to with AI. Dibbler Currency. Dibbloons! At least until Vetinari gets to hear about it, of course.
Dibbler's version of AI would claim to be an all-new, all-improved version of Hex, but would simply be a room full of imps reading questions they don't understand and scribbling answers that make no sense. Occasionally they scribble curse words or references to workers at the Pink Pussycat Club. Horrors! And thus Dibbler's dreams crash and burn as usual, and he goes back to selling freshly-shaved rats onna stick. With ketchup.
