Morning fellow discworld fans. I just had a very silly topic pop in my head. Been enjoying some witches books (specifically midway though masquerade now) and I wanted to stop and discuss a particular special power of Granny Weatherwax: the stare. So what I have in mind is having a thought experiment. I put Granny Weatherwax together with two other pop culture fictional characters with similar power. They are Fluttershy from My Little Pony friendship is magic and Ghost Rider from Marvel comics. All 3 will have a stare contest, sort of like that witch duel in Lords and Ladies (i think). Who would win and why? I think all 3 characters are sort of on equal ground here. As following:
1) The stare goes beyond mere stern mean stare and have some magical properties.
2) The stare is very potent and effective, used against casual opponents and existential threats alike.
3) The stare failed in some particular circumstances.

Fluffy!! have no idea who would win as I'm not familar with the charecter in my Little Pony, but Granny might have the edge on Ghost rider as she is familar with the Bonny one.
