Good to know that Sam went on to read other Pterry books. :) TCOM is a book for its time, a perfect antidote to Eddings and similar, but also a good antidote to any fantasy book/film that takes itself too seriously. (A perfect example of that is "Yor: The Hunter from the Future", which is so bad, it's hilarious). =P
Just like Plan 9 From Outer Space, so bad it's become a cult film.

Did Ed Wood make any film that wasn't "so bad it became a cult film"? :mrgreen:

Glen or Glenda, Jail Bait, Bride of the Monster, Night of the Ghouls, The Sinister Urge ... Plan 9 from Outer Space ... ;)
