The King of Elfland's Daughter - Dunsany

A seminal work - I rate it as good as LoTR. Written in normal prose but with language so sweet it reads like a poem.
Have you heard the concept album? The story is cut to the bone but there are some nice folk/rock style songs and it is narrated by Christopher Lee (Who also plays the King).

I know I'm only meant to recommend one book but I'll recommend three anyway.
1.The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith
2.Buffy:The Watchers Guide vol.1 by Christopher Golden and Nancy Holder
3.My Secret Admirer by Carol Ellis

If you are reading this post I force you to buy all of these books. The only way you're not getting them is by having a really good excuse.

Only ONE??? I realize that no one has posted since 2010, but I'll post anyway hoping that someone reads this.

The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner
Welcome to the site, Tris!
I will count this as one book per post. :)

All books by Shannon Hale. Or Sarah Beth Durst.
