Buggerit, when I've moved back home along comes the Chiswick book Festival which was only 3 to 4 miles from where I lived ten minutes on the tube. would not have been able to go anyway as it's the same weekend as our BFS Fantasycon in Nottingham.

Today's the day and I'll be there.

However, I noticed on the festival web-site that it says at the 'signing' after the talk:

"copies of I SHALL WEAR MIDNIGHT will be stamped with a souvenir stamp and a thumbprint from Sir Terry Pratchett, who after thirty years of signing books has succumbed to arthritis."

I already have a signed copy of the book. But this made me go "Oh!" and for Sir Pterry.

Signings have caused him problems for years, sadly. I know that he's had to have a bowl of ice on hand (or wrist) in the past because of the strain.

p.s. A great event with Sir pTerry on form during his talk, I thought. Amusing that it was held in a church not long after the letter to the Guardian he co-signed - a point certainly not missed by Sir pT.
