I have just watched on Sky Arts, Douglas Adams: The Man who imagined the future.
It was a really interesting programme, he was was really clever with such a innovative mind, what I did not know was that he co-authored a book with Graham Chapman of Monty Python and a surprising amount of other notable people who were in his circle. I met him once at a book signing in London.

Went to watch the recording of 'Sorry, I Haven't a Clue' for BBC Radio last night at the Brighton Dome. Great fun with Jack Dee hosting, and teams consisting of Marcus Brigstock with Rachael Paris up against the Reverend Richard Coles and Tony Hawkes (the comedian, not the skateboarder). A very enjoyable evening, and very funny.

They started at 7:30 and finished just after 10:15, with a 20-minute intermission and a few retakes at the end. The recorded two episodes, with the first due to be aired 8th June. It'll be interesting to hear the final edit and compare to the live experience. :)

Okay, so, as mentioned in my review thread, I've finally finished the first season of Hazbin Hotel, after having obtained the Blu-Ray. And I have to admit, I enjoyed it thoroughly. A dark comedy set in Hell with musical numbers galore wouldn't normally sound like my bag, but hey, it's actually a pretty damn good series. I dunno if the second season will ever come out on Blu-Ray, but if it does, I'm going for it.

While I posted the trailer in the 'What Made You Smile Today' thread, I'll repost it here. Warning, there's swearing galore, violence, and more than innuendo...

I've seen a couple of episodes of Hazbin Hotel that were randomly in my suggestions from Youtube. Thry were pretty good.
The only episode available on Youtube (legally, though the first Amazon Prime episode was posted officially for a limited time) is the pilot, which was done by Vivziepop and the Spindlehorse animation group as a sort of proof of concept of what she wanted the series to be about, and it's still somewhat loosely canon to the main series (though the cast were replaced, as Vivziepop wanted to favour Broadway actors where she could, though some would go on to play roles in the main series, or Helluva Boss). Here it is if you want to watch it, but keep in mind, it's pretty gruesome, has sexual references and swear words, and is definitely NOT for kids, and probably not SFW...

That being said, the first half of the second episode of the main series is also available on Youtube. In addition, Helluva Boss is available in its entirety on Youtube. Recently, a deal was struck with Amazon Prime, so that while Helluva Boss episodes will premiere uncensored on Prime (along with a few bits of enhanced animation), censored versions (not in terms of language but the more...explicit acts going on) will be released for free on Youtube a month after their premiere, with the first such release being the revised pilot episode, Mission Zero. In addition, the Helluva Shorts episodes seem like they have a simultaneous release, unless they're not on Prime, anyway...
