I don't understand. Gaiman was accused of sexual crimes. He denies the allegations. Meanwhile, his business partners (e.g. Disney) are punishing him by ending the contracts, even though these allegations were never tested in court and no guilt has been established.

Whatever happened to the principle of "innocent until proven guilty?" I am confused! :(

He actually admitted to some of them, Rath, although he claims what he did was consensual. However, I still consider using your position to take advantage of, or pressure, a vulnerable person is still a form of abuse. The stuff he admitted to was pretty unsavoury as well. Quite sad really.

Back to the topic of Season/Film 3 - there are rumors that the finale will be released sometime in the first quarter of 2026.

Hmm. I just thought of a compromise: the big networks are afraid of touching Gaiman's stuff. Is it possible to air the final season(s) of G.O. without mentioning his name (e.g. removing it from the credits)?

I'm reluctant to even mention this, because I enjoyed his work very much. But if that's what it takes ...

Hey, being racist and sexist morons didn't stop HP Lovecraft or Ian Fleming from being adapted (not that I want to compare Neil Gaiman with them, just pointing out). Just take what you can from the story and be done with it...

Apparently a few visual images have been posted by Amazon Prime - one from Season 1, one from Season 2, and a closed elevator door. Not exactly a trailer...

Trailer for GO-3 was posted, but it's not much. Just some set crew getting the set ready. And a date - May 13, 2036.
Um ... ?? I think you mean 2026, unless Amazon intends us to wait over 10 years ... ???? :-(

Speaking of which, both Raymond Chandler's books and a few episodes of Fawlty Towers include both racist and sexist language (and homophobic too, in the case of a passage or two in Chandler's books), but those don't invalidate the overall product, in my not-so-humble.

And yet the BBC edited the certain episodes of Fawlty Towers (especially "The Germans"), and there's a movement to ban (or at least contextualize) Chandler's books.

I'm sorry, but this is ----ing stupid. All the actors in Fawlty Towers deliver crisp enunciation, superb dialogue and timing, and hilarious settings and punchlines. And every edgy, witty, sharp-tongued noir crime thriller you've read (or seen) since 1945 is either consciously or unconsciously pinching from Chandler.

To "cancel" either of them (i.e. ban them completely) is a heinous crime against the English language, and I'll debate (and defeat) anyone who claims otherwise!

(There, consider my gauntlet thrown. Anyone can pick it up if they want...) ;)
