I don't understand. Gaiman was accused of sexual crimes. He denies the allegations. Meanwhile, his business partners (e.g. Disney) are punishing him by ending the contracts, even though these allegations were never tested in court and no guilt has been established.
Whatever happened to the principle of "innocent until proven guilty?" I am confused!

Hmm. I just thought of a compromise: the big networks are afraid of touching Gaiman's stuff. Is it possible to air the final season(s) of G.O. without mentioning his name (e.g. removing it from the credits)?

Speaking of which, both Raymond Chandler's books and a few episodes of Fawlty Towers include both racist and sexist language (and homophobic too, in the case of a passage or two in Chandler's books), but those don't invalidate the overall product, in my not-so-humble.
And yet the BBC edited the certain episodes of Fawlty Towers (especially "The Germans"), and there's a movement to ban (or at least contextualize) Chandler's books.
I'm sorry, but this is ----ing stupid. All the actors in Fawlty Towers deliver crisp enunciation, superb dialogue and timing, and hilarious settings and punchlines. And every edgy, witty, sharp-tongued noir crime thriller you've read (or seen) since 1945 is either consciously or unconsciously pinching from Chandler.
To "cancel" either of them (i.e. ban them completely) is a heinous crime against the English language, and I'll debate (and defeat) anyone who claims otherwise!

It's like in Stephen King books, more than a little racist language is used, but often by the bad guys. His schtick seems to be that, when the villains go off the rails, they get profane. The Shining is a perfect example, and I mean the original book, not the Kubrick film.
I do like how, in one of the recent Doctor Who stories, The Giggle, Russell T Davies used the Toymaker, but in a way that acknowledged the potentially insensitive past of the Toymaker (who basically appeared as a white man wearing a Chinese Mandarin's robes) by having the Toymaker as basically a casually racist SOB. Or at least he uses cultural appropriation and racism as a weapon to unnerve and anger his opponents.
