Are you going to Shamrokon in Dublin as well shivers.
I'm actually UK based these days so Shamrokon is more of a trek than Manchester. Haven't made up my mind yet, but I don't think I can afford it so soon after DWCon.

This little snippet from Snowgum films:
You’ll also note that our completion date is looking to be around late July. Whether we hit that date or not, we’d like to have an in-progress backers only screening sometime in August. If we do hit that date with a completed film - we’d still like to have that screening anyway.

So if anyone knows where we could find… oh, I don’t know… a large gathering of Discworld fans early August, let us know. We’d absolutely be up for some continent hopping.

The last couple of Cons have feature live blogging/updates on the website (dwcon.org) so I'm sure you'll be able to follow along when the time comes.

I'll be there too - complete with the housemate and the Great A'tuin coffee table for the Art Gallery (which is in need of some remedial work as 3 of the tusks on the ellies have been knocked out by doggy comet tails.... :shifty:

I've also confirmed with Eelco the head of Programme and they want the Discworld spoof of QI - Strangely Fascinating to run again. Will be looking for Elves to volunteer again v. soon ;)

I have to hear back from Eelco still re the official convention theme but I think we can probably assume that it's going to be AM-centric so we can probably stick to the Watch, Moist and Unseen Academical as the 'modern' city side of it book-wise

Have also asked for Jacqueline Simpson and Stephen Briggs again and, if possible Rob or Rhianna with Chris B and Pat duking it out as to who's going to be the quiz master this time around
