Hm... I got a problem... I usually cannot stick to one book at a time. Usually it's some 2-3 books + a bunch I get stuck in >.<
For some odd reason TP's books usually gets finished within reasonable time... XD

Atm. I'm on reread of Guards! Guards!
The Black Swan by Nassim Nicholas Taleb (no, not the movie, this one is about statistics - extremely entertaining and fun writing)
Kabuki (comic), still short of a voume 5 >.<

Just finished A Dance With Dragons by George R.R. Martin, which was awesome.

I got some new books from my sister yesterday, late birthday presents:
Dave Gorman vs the rest of the world by Dave Gorman, the two Stephen Fry biographies, and the latest Thursday Next book by Jasper Fforde.

I've never seen the TV show. Reichs is a consultant on the show, but she doesn't usually write the episodes. The charcters, apart from Temperence Brennen are not in the books, and Tempe herself (in the show) is much younger.

So basically, the TV show is very different.

Terry Pratchett gets a mention in one of the books. ;)

Interesting to see how you get on Q, I haven't read that since I was about 10. Did you know it was adapted for the BBC by Terry Nation and Peter Cushing played Elijah Baley. The BBC of course wiped it apart from tiny fragments that still exist
I learnt that recently, and the surviving clips are on YouTube. The adaptor was Terry Nation, the creator of the Daleks, Survivors, and Blake's 7.

Peter Cushing did quite a bit of acting on TV in those days. I've seen some of his performance as Winston Smith in the BBC adaptation of Nineteen Eighty-Four.
